Volunteer
Are you passionate about helping animals and able to spare a little time? Even if adopting isn’t an option for you right now, you can still have a powerful impact on the lives of the pets in our care at the shelter. By sharing your time, kindness, and dedication, you help ensure our dogs and cats receive the attention, comfort, and affection they deserve while they wait to find permanent, loving homes.
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to serve your community, FACAS welcomes you with open arms. Volunteering with us is a fulfilling experience that allows you to support local animals, connect with others who share your heart for the cause, and form lasting friendships—both human and furry alike. Here’s just a few ideas of how you can help:
🐾Walk the Dogs 🐾Interact with the Dogs in the Play Yards 🐾Clean Kennels 🐾Socialize and Groom the Cats 🐾Do Laundry 🐾Transport Animals to Appointments or Rescue Placements 🐾Prep Treats and Enrichment Activities 🐾Snap Pictures for Social Media Content 🐾General Cleaning and Housekeeping 🐾Assist at Adoption Events 🐾Do Facilities and Outdoor Maintenance 🐾Serve on a Committee 🐾Assist with Fundraising
To find out more about becoming a volunteer, stop by the shelter, call the shelter at 704-994-2738, or send an email to our Shelter Director, Maureen Lett, at mlett@ACASFriends.org. We look forward to adding you to our team!
