Peaches was dumped at a local peach produce stand with her babies. Her babies were all given away, but no one claimed Peaches. Peaches is a sweet momma who is looking for the chance to be someone’s baby! Sadly, it appears that Peaches has been bred over and over again. Her teeth are ground down either from trying desperately to get out of a fenced area or free from a chain. This pretty girl is an absolute sweetheart who will roll over for belly rubs and love. She has done well with elementary-aged volunteers at the shelter. Peaches is heartworm positive and needs lifesaving treatment. Peaches is in need of an adopter or foster/rescue to begin treatment.

Blossom came into the shelter in horrible shape. She was incredibly underweight, and was covered in scars. She is an very sweet girl who is learning to gain trust in the world and people. She’s unsure of how to be on leash, but she tries her best with some gentle support and patience. She enjoys scratches and pets, and each day shows progress in gaining confidence. She has found solace in other dogs who help her to feel safe and teach her “how to dog.” She does outdoor time with her new shelter friends Hope and Sweet Tea. She is looking for someone to show her the good in life.

Ramos came into the shelter with multiple other dogs and was in really rough shape. He was significantly underweight and extremely beaten up with multiple wounds, bites, and scratches on his face and head. All the dogs were chained outside without proper food and water, and all had severely embedded collars. His neck has since healed, he’s gained a healthy amount of weight, and he looks like a whole new dog! This boy is happy, and so excited to continue to learn how “to dog!”

Timmy entered the shelter after being seized by Animal Control with three other dogs, chained and extremely underweight. Now that he’s gained healthy weight, this handsome boy is ready for a home of his own. Let us be clear— Timmy is stunning! His beautiful brindle markings frame his eyes giving him a really striking face. Timmy is incredibly smart and picks up learning new commands quickly. Not only is he smart, but he also has a cute, playful side as well. Overall, Timmy is curious, loves to explore, and is super well behaved. He’d love a human to take him hiking or running so he can see more of the world after surviving on a chain for so long.

Snoop came to the shelter surrendered with Tip. He has longing eyes that wish for more. The shelter environment is hard on him and he shows signs of stress sitting in his kennel for long periods of time surrounded by other dogs and noise. He is an absolute sweetheart, especially away from the noise of the shelter. Snoop enjoys walks, runs, and cuddling and would love a home that will allow him to get his energy out.

Scooby has the best smile and wagging tail when he’s waiting to go outside for the day. This strong boy takes treats gently and becomes a pile of mush for some chin scratches. He is eager to please and goofy as can be. He tested well with females and wanted to play. He respects space and takes correction well both from dogs and humans.

Despite his rough start to life, our 6-month-old Chase is a bouncy, friendly and resilient boy. He has a dislocated elbow that will require surgery. He is missing fur all over his body due to demodex (mange) and is being treated. This adorable guy is playful but also up for love and cuddles. He is in need of a foster home or rescue due to his medical needs.

Penelope and Pixie are new residents who were seized by Animal Control due to neglect and deplorable living conditions. The girls were in an enclosure together and are now being kenneled together. They are a bonded pair so must remain together. Penelope is sweet girl who is rightfully scared but has been very brave. Penelope is less timid than her sister Pixie and her personality is coming out more daily. Pixie is very timid and follows her sister Penelope everywhere; she’s her security blanket. As we learn more about these sweet darlings’ personalities and temperaments, we’ll update their bio.

Chop

Chop was a “community dog” who was being fed and was sadly hit in the back with a shovel by a cruel human. Despite having a wound on his back, this short, thick ham biscuit is as gentle as they come. He is incredibly affectionate and likes to get as close as possible to lean in for pets, rubs and scratches. Handsome Chop has not yet been officially dog tested but has shown positive body language when passing by other dogs and reportedly hung around other dogs before coming into the shelter.

Lucy recently came to the shelter with inflamed, irritated skin and missing fur in patches all over her back and legs. Sweet little Lucy’s poor skin looks so uncomfortable and it is clear it's bothering her. She’s on medication for this infection, demodex, and to help with itchy skin. She is also receiving Lyme Dip baths. Despite being uncomfortable, this girl is gentle, sweet and playful. Lucy is in urgent need of a foster with rescue placement or an adopter so that her skin will heal faster.

This litter of four (Apollo, Remy, Bronx, Queen) was found living under a burned down house. There are two more puppies that we are trying to get. They lack socialization and are in need of loving, devoted placements!
